Rust Engineer

Tempo is hiring a Senior Rust Engineer for remote, full-time work to build a layer-1 blockchain for stablecoins and real-world payments. Focus on scalable distributed systems, Ethereum/EVM, reth, and performance.

Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments, born from Stripe's experience in global payments and Paradigm's expertise in crypto tech. Responsibilities: - Design, develop and ship complex features, focusing on performance and benchmarking - Own development throughout the entire lifecycle, with a focus on deep collaboration, quick iteration cycles and incorporating stakeholder feedback

Significant experience building scalable, distributed systems in Rust Deep familiarity with the Ethereum ecosystem, particularly the EVM and Execution Layer, as well as reth and consensus mechanisms; hands-on experience working across the entire Ethereum stack is ideal Self-motivated and independent, excited by ambiguity and opportunities to develop concrete solutions to nebulous problems Collaborative and an exceptional communicator
