Middle Backend Developer

Middle Backend Developer for investment management platform. Part-time (20 h/week), remote, from $2000, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL. Candidates outside Russia and Belarus.

We are looking for a Middle Backend Developer to work on an investment management platform. You will be responsible for the server side of the product: business logic of funds, financial calculations, integration with external systems, as well as API for frontend and external clients.

Relevant higher education More than 2 years of commercial Java development experience. English B2+. Deep knowledge of Spring Boot (DI, security, JPA). Experience with PostgreSQL: writing queries, understanding indexing, query optimization. Understanding ORM (Hibernate): entity mapping, lazy/eager loading, N+1 problem. Experience designing and implementing REST API. Confident Git skills (branching, merging, pull requests). Ability to read and write unit/integration tests. Basic understanding of Docker. Nice to have: Experience with RabbitMQ or other message broker systems. Knowledge of Kubernetes (at least understanding pods, deployments, logs). Migration experience with Flyway/Liquibase. Experience integrating with external APIs (OAuth2, webhooks). Familiarity with ELK / OpenTelemetry / monitoring systems. Experience with AWS (S3, RDS).
