Backend Developer for Yandex Go Insurance Team

Backend Developer for Yandex Go Insurance Team. Develop platform solutions for daily OSAGO policies in Yandex Pro. Work with C++20, userver, microservices, and CI/CD. Based in Tashkent.

We are making our product – daily OSAGO policies in Yandex Pro – more platform-based to make it accessible to everyone. Under the hood, we have a microservice architecture and CI/CD processes. A large user base, daily releases, and regular feedback allow every developer to continuously develop and see the results of their work. We work with C++20 and userver. What tasks await you: • Platformization of short OSAGO policies: You will need to rebuild our service architecture to allow OSAGO policies to be issued not only in the Yandex Pro application. You will bring the solution to the first user and scale it to hundreds of thousands of buyers per day. • OSAGO for taxi fleets: In taxis, the owner of the car is often a taxi fleet. Many taxi fleets find it more profitable and convenient to buy short OSAGO policies from us for taxis. You will need to develop appropriate tools for them. There are many hypotheses ahead that can attract a large volume of policies. • Development of legalization tools: Yandex Taxi covers all CIS countries and many other countries. Each country has its own laws, and all of them must be complied with: mandatory OSAGO and OSGOP policies, transport legalizations, localization law, and so on. Each legalization is not easy for drivers, and our task is to help them. You will need to develop the service architecture, adapting it to the requirements of different countries and laws.

We expect you to: • Be familiar with C++ and STL (we use C++20, userver) • Prefer a balance between technical and product tasks • Know SQL and (optionally) NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.) It will be a plus if you: • Have worked with high-load systems • Have interacted with microservice architecture • Have developed in Python or want to learn it
