Web Designer with HTML/CSS Knowledge (Project Task, B2B)
Web designer for a B2B engineering supplier of special metals and alloys. Task: cosmetic refresh of the site, improve readability and UI elements. Remote, project-based.
Project: «Special Materials» (special-materials.com) is an engineering B2B supplier of special metals and alloys with 30 years of experience. We solve complex tasks: from selecting analogues of imported alloys (GOST, ASTM, EN, DIN) to manufacturing parts according to drawings and parallel imports. Task: We do not need a redesign from scratch. We are looking for a specialist for a targeted 'cosmetic repair' and refresh of the site's visuals. Goal: increase trust of B2B audience (chief engineers, procurement specialists, technologists), improve readability of technical information and neatly update UI elements. What needs to be done: 1. Conduct a joint site audit (1-2 hours), identify visual and UX problems (e.g., design of tables with alloy grades, readability of technical descriptions, accents on blocks like 'Ultrasonic testing' or '30 years on the market'). 2. Propose and draw in Figma a concept of targeted improvements (typography, spacing, button colors, product cards, benefit icons).
• Portfolio with examples of live B2B or industrial websites that you designed and coded. • Understanding of B2B design specifics: rigor, cleanliness, priority of information and trust over 'creative tinsel'. • Preferably and advantage: experience with CMS MODx.
• Format: One-time project with clear technical specifications and deadline (with possibility of further targeted support). • Remote work. • Budget: discussed after audit and estimate.
