CTO for Red SMS, a B2B SMS communication platform. Seeking experienced leader (7+ years) to manage technical strategy, architecture, and engineering teams. Hybrid work in Moscow, 400-450k net + KPI.

Red SMS is a B2B platform for SMS communications, operating since 2013. We build infrastructure for reliable and instant business-to-user interaction via mobile channels. About the role: We are looking for a CTO who will take responsibility for technical strategy, architecture, and the development of the engineering organization, who has launched platforms from scratch, worked with highload, knows how to balance architecture and delivery, and has built teams and processes. Responsibilities: • Forming and developing the technical product strategy with a focus on scalability and fault tolerance • Designing highload system architecture and launching a new platform (test → preprod → prod) • Managing engineering teams • Building a transparent team structure, areas of responsibility, and interaction processes • Developing SDLC: from idea to stable production, implementing and improving CI/CD • Increasing delivery speed without losing quality and manageability • Controlling architectural decisions, code quality, service stability, and SLA/SLO • Implementing AI tools to accelerate development and improve quality • Participating in the development of ML/AI product functionality (data-driven approach) • Close collaboration with the product team: roadmap, estimation of timelines and risks, prioritization • Gradually migrating clients to the new platform and ensuring its stable operation • Working with external integrations and APIs

7+ years of experience in backend development, architecture, or highload projects 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams (CTO / Head of Engineering / Lead) Practical experience in designing and developing microservice architecture Experience working with high-load systems and understanding their scaling principles Experience in Go development at the architectural decision level Understanding of data management: databases, stream processing, message queues Experience in building and optimizing development processes (SDLC) Skills in hiring, developing, and retaining engineering teams Experience in making technical decisions in conditions of uncertainty and rapid growth Nice to have: • Experience implementing AI tools in development • Experience in telecom or messaging infrastructure • Experience in startups or fast-growing companies
