Team Lead PHP (Highload / iGaming)

Team Lead PHP for highload iGaming platform, leading senior engineers, remote worldwide except Russia, B2B, salary in EUR.

Manage a team of Senior PHP engineers, including hiring, mentoring, onboarding, 1-on-1s, performance reviews. Drive architecture, make key decisions, ensure high engineering standards. Own delivery with Agile (Scrum/Kanban). Manage highload databases: MySQL with advanced query optimization, ClickHouse analytics. Develop event-driven architecture with Apache Kafka. Ensure reliability with Prometheus, Grafana, incident management and post-mortems.

2+ years as Team Lead or Tech Lead (PHP team management, hiring, developing seniors, servant leadership). 6+ years of PHP (expert in PHP 8.x, OOP, SOLID, design patterns). Excellent knowledge of Symfony and/or Laravel. Advanced MySQL: replication, indexes, locks, performance tuning, concurrency. Solid Redis, production experience with Apache Kafka and ClickHouse. Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux. Experience with Go is a plus.

100% remote, work from anywhere except Russia, sync with Prague time (CET). B2B contract. Fixed salary in EUR, negotiable. 20 paid vacation days, 3 sick days per year, 60% sick leave pay.
