Senior Python Developer

IT-BASTION: Senior Python Developer, remote, full-time. Develop network protocol processing modules, optimize performance, write tests, package for Astra Linux.

Development of new modules for processing network protocols (RDP, SSH, HTTP) and load balancing. Performance optimization for Redis and file storages. Writing unit and integration tests (pytest + allure). Building and maintaining deb-packages for Astra Linux. Refactoring code to address Bandit and SonarQube findings.

Higher technical education (applied mathematics, computer science, information security, automated control systems). 6+ years of commercial development, with at least 3 years in product companies with deep Linux integration. Skills: Python 3.7+, mypy, Redis, OpenSSL, Git, CI/CD (GitLab), pytest, deb-package structure (dpkg, apt). Experience in system administration of Debian/Astra Linux (systemd, networking, security). Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban in distributed teams. Ability to argue positions on code review. Ability to work through tasks from specification to documentation without constant supervision. Ability to design fault-tolerant and secure components. Refactoring skills for Python 3.5 without changing interpreter version.
