Senior Mobile KMP Developer

AdGuard is looking for a Senior Mobile KMP Developer to develop cross-platform architecture for mobile products. Salary: $4,500–$7,200 gross, full-time, remote.

AdGuard has been creating and developing a line of products for protection against internet ads, tracking, phishing and other web threats for 17 years. The product ecosystem includes many browser extensions, desktop and mobile applications. More than 100 million people worldwide use our software in 20+ languages. We are looking for a strong mobile KMP developer to develop a multiplatform architecture at the intersection of complex background logic and UI. Responsibilities: - Develop shared business logic of products on KMP - Design architecture and implement shared UI layer through custom KMP solutions - Develop platform abstraction for efficient management of main and background threads - Implement interoperability between KMP and native components - Design and implement reliable inter-process communication (IPC) mechanisms between applications and services

What we expect from you: - Commercial experience in KMP development from 2 years: understanding of multiplatform application lifecycle, technology limitations, and experience launching KMP in production. - Confident understanding of IPC mechanisms and how applications work in multiple isolated processes, ability to organize work between them. - Deep understanding of multithreading, experience with manual thread pool management and optimization of asynchronous code. - Strong native background (Android/iOS): commercial experience in mobile development from 5 years. - Understanding of platform specifics under the hood. - Engineering independence: ability to dig deep into tool sources, profile memory and performance of cross-platform code. Nice to have: - Experience and strong knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines. - Experience in native development in a related direction. - Knowledge of other programming languages.
