Senior Legal Counsel (Game Dev)

Full legal support for game development and sales, including: intellectual property protection (registration, patents, copyrights, trademarks); work with contractors: contracts with publishers, developers, subcontractors; legal support for game sales (including via Hong Kong); formation of legal checklists with risk descriptions for each stage; development of legal strategies for international activities; tax planning and building legal structure – key task; consultations on corporate and tax law (RF and foreign jurisdictions).

Experience as a lawyer in game dev / IT for 3+ years. Deep understanding of copyright and intellectual property. Experience with international contracts and foreign jurisdictions (Hong Kong, Cyprus, USA, EU – plus). Experience in legal support of digital product sales. Ability to form legal checklists and describe risks for business. Deep knowledge in taxes: ability to build a structure, explain the scheme and justify decisions. Strong position and readiness to object: does not agree with everything for comfort, can argue a decision, propose an alternative and justify it. English – confident reading and writing. Systematic thinking and willingness to work for results. Will be a plus: experience in game studios or game projects; knowledge of platform specifics (Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store, etc.); experience with Hong Kong (registration, accounts, taxes); tax planning and optimization skills.
