Senior Java Developer

Senior Java Developer at an iGaming company. Remote (strictly outside Russia and Belarus) or hybrid in Belgrade, Serbia. Full-time, 5+ years experience.

Develop and evolve high-load backend services. Design architectural solutions and participate in platform development. Work with distributed systems and message queues. Participate in the full development life cycle: design → development → testing → production. Analyze and resolve incidents. Collaborate with other engineering teams and participate in technical discussions. Tech stack: Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, ClickHouse, YugaByteDB, REST, gRPC.

Mandatory: • 5+ years of commercial backend development. • Experience developing in Java. • Experience with Spring Boot. • Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or other message brokers. • Experience with REST or gRPC. • Confident work with SQL and databases. • Understanding of distributed systems, replication, sharding, and message delivery guarantees. • Understanding of JVM, memory, and Garbage Collector. • Experience designing and supporting production services. Nice to have: • Kotlin. • Kubernetes. • Experience with Cassandra, Redis, ClickHouse. • Experience in highload products. • Experience in large product companies.
