Java Developer (Senior)

Senior Java Developer at Notamedia. Remote, full-time. Develop high-load REST APIs, migrate legacy systems, mentor juniors.

Develop and support server applications and microservices in Java. Design and develop high-load REST APIs. Integrate with external systems and services (databases, message queues, caches). Participate in architectural design and technology selection for new projects. Optimize application performance and scalability. Migrate legacy systems to modern stack. Write tests (unit, integration, e2e) and improve code quality. Code review and mentoring junior developers.

Experience with java from 5 years. Strong knowledge of Java 17+ (Records, Pattern Matching, Virtual Threads, etc.). Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORM (Hibernate, Spring Data JPA) and NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch). Understanding of REST API, microservice architecture. Experience with ClickHouse. Strong knowledge and experience with Testcontainers. Good knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security). Knowledge and experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Strong debugging and error handling skills, vulnerability protection, SOLID, KISS, DRY. Understanding of CI/CD principles. Nice to have: knowledge of Kotlin, gRPC and Protocol Buffers, experience designing high-load systems.
