Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js & Vue)

IDT Technologies seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with 6+ years of experience. Work remotely, hybrid, or in office. Full-time, 5/2 schedule.

Build and maintain full-stack products for high-pressure environments like order flow and kitchen display systems. Collaborate daily with teams in the US and Israel, explaining technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders. Use AI tooling to accelerate development and maintain code quality. Design scalable services, handle production failures, and ensure maintainability.

6-8+ years building full-stack products, including time as the senior person on the work. Deep Node.js and TypeScript experience across the full-stack, with production services you designed. Strong relational database skills: Postgres or MySQL schema design, indexing, query tuning, transactions, and behavior under load. Comfort with non-relational stores like Redis or MongoDB, and caching/invalidation. Experience with queues and streaming (Kinesis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, BullMQ, or similar) and their failure modes. Front-end skill with Vue, React, or Angular, including component architecture, state management, and progressive web apps. Real-time interfaces on websockets, ideally socket.io. Excellent debugging abilities. Experience with PHP is a plus. Effective in unfamiliar code with AI assistance. Experience deploying services that scale horizontally and tolerate failures. AI-first mindset across the whole lifecycle. Ability to jump into large complex repositories. Build maintainable services with clear boundaries, readable code, tests, and observability. User empathy for high-pressure scenarios.
