Senior AI Gameplay Programmer
Bloober Team is seeking a Senior AI Gameplay Programmer for horror game projects. Responsibilities include designing and implementing AI systems, combat, and gameplay features in Unreal Engine. Full-time, remote or office-based in Krakow, Poland.
Bloober Team is looking for a Senior AI Gameplay Programmer to work on horror-infused game projects. The role focuses on designing and implementing AI systems, combat systems, AI agents, tools, and gameplay features in Unreal Engine. Responsibilities • Design, document, and implement AI systems for behaviours, navigation, perception, and animations • Implement AI agents with various behaviours and changing behaviour sets • Create pre-scripted AI sequences • Create combat systems from scratch and maintain existing ones • Work closely with combat designers, animators, technical artists, and other team members • Create features and tools for designers
• Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine and built-in AI systems • Excellent knowledge of C++ • Excellent knowledge of AI solutions, architecture approaches, techniques, and good practices • Experience designing code architecture for AI systems • Experience working on AI agents, including combat • Practical knowledge of current programming trends and solutions • Great teamwork skills • English communication skills for everyday work Nice to Have • Experience with Gameplay Ability System • Experience with AI solutions beyond Behaviour Trees and State Machines, such as Utility or GOAP • Experience working with Animation Blueprints • Experience creating tools and editor utilities • Interest in the horror genre
