Bloober Team is seeking a Senior AI Gameplay Programmer for horror game projects. The role involves designing and implementing AI systems for behaviors, navigation, and combat. Full-time, remote/office in Krakow, Poland.
Bloober Team is looking for a Senior AI Gameplay Programmer to work on horror-driven game projects. The role focuses on designing, documenting, and implementing AI systems for behaviors, navigation, perception, animation, combat, and designer-facing tools. Responsibilities • Design, document, and implement AI systems for behaviors, navigation, perception, and animations • Implement AI agents with various behaviors, behavior sets, and pre-scripted sequences • Create combat systems from scratch and maintain existing ones • Work closely with combat designers, animators, tech artists, and other team members • Create features and tools for designers
• Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine and built-in AI systems • Excellent knowledge of C++ • Excellent knowledge of AI solutions, architecture approaches, techniques, and best practices • Experience designing code architecture for AI-related systems • Experience working on AI agents including combat • Practical knowledge of current programming trends and solutions • Strong teamwork skills • English communication skills for daily work Nice to Have • Experience with Gameplay Ability System • Experience with AI solutions beyond Behaviour Trees and State Machines • Experience with Utility AI or GOAP • Experience working with Animation Blueprints • Experience creating tools and editor utilities • Interest in the horror genre
