Security Director
Security Director for an agro-industrial group in Kursk. Responsible for asset protection, counterparty due diligence, internal investigations, personnel security, physical security, and government liaison. Requires agro sector leadership experience.
Areas of responsibility: 1. Safety of assets and product flow Control of critical points of product movement: receiving, weighing, quality determination, drying, storage, shipment. Work with discrepancies and shortages: identification, investigation of causes, resolution. Participation in inventories and analysis of their results; control over safety of inventory, fuel and lubricants, spare parts and equipment. Assessment of process vulnerabilities and proposals to close them with procedures rather than personal control. 2. Counterparty verification and transaction support Verification of counterparty reliability: procurement, services, lease, contracting, transportation. Identification of affiliation and signs of conflict of interest between group employees and suppliers. Verification regulations: criteria, access levels, timelines, responsible persons. The function should work as a procedure, not as one-off requests. 3. Internal investigations and conflict of interest Internal inquiries into abuse, theft and excess of authority. Identification of personal gain schemes in procurement, sales and write-offs. Bringing investigations to a management decision: conclusion, evidence base, recommendation. 4. Personnel security Screening of candidates for key and financially responsible positions. Risk assessment during personnel changes at sites. Work with high-risk areas: supply, weighing, warehouses, shipment, transport. 5. Regime and physical security Management of security contractors and technical means: contracts, standards, quality control of services, contract economics. Unified requirements for access and on-site regime at all sites. Organization of the function, not personal participation in duty shifts and patrols. 6. Interaction with government bodies Support of inspections, requests and interaction with supervisory and law enforcement bodies. Correct working relations at the level of procedures. 7. Reporting and interaction Regular reporting for top managers: risk map, status of identified areas, progress of investigations, effect of measures taken. Interaction with finance, management accounting, legal and HR as related departments.
Experience in managing a security function in the agro-industrial sector: grain, elevators, transshipment, processing, agricultural machinery. Experience in a group with several legal entities and mixed ownership structure. Experience in building or restructuring a function, not just maintaining it in working order. Understanding where losses arise in the production-product chain, and experience in identifying them through data and process analysis. Practice of internal investigations brought to a management decision. Experience in building a counterparty verification system as a regular procedure. Managerial experience: setting tasks for subordinates and contractors, function budget, reporting to the first person. Willingness for constant travel and to be based in Kursk. Higher education. No circumstances preventing work with government bodies.
