Senior Java Engineer position with Comtek for Caterpillar projects. Remote, B2B contract, full-time. Salary range $5800 - $6600 gross. Requires 6+ years of Java 17+, AWS, microservices, and B2+ English. Must be outside Russia and Belarus.

Comtek is hiring for Caterpillar projects. This is a remote position with a B2B contract and full-time commitment. The contract is for a minimum of 9 months, with 8 hours a day and 4-8 hours of daily overlap with the team in Chicago. Working hours can be 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., 7 a.m. - 15 p.m., or 9 a.m. - 17 p.m. Chicago time.

Bachelor’s degree (diploma photo required at application stage). Must be outside the territory of Russia and Belarus. 6+ years of experience with Java 17 or later. Experience with MVC, Microservices, etc. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc. Strong AWS technologies (AWS Kinesis, AWS SQS, AWS SNS, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Apache ActiveMQ). Experience with Restful APIs; TDD/BDD. Experience with API tools: Swagger, Postman, and Assertible. Experience with Datastores such as AWS Aurora, AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, Redis, MySQL, Oracle. Experience with other AWS technologies, such as API Gateway, ALB, NLB, Fargate, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, KMS, etc. Debugging and maintaining software in Linux or Unix platforms. Code review practice. Working written/spoken English (B2+).
