QA Engineer

QA Engineer at НДМ Системы, testing telecom equipment and routers. Hybrid in Moscow, salary up to 200,000 RUB.

We have been on the market for about 20 years and develop software for intelligent routers and gateways. Currently expanding the QA team and looking for a QA Engineer to test telecommunication equipment, routers, and Wi-Fi access points. Tasks: • Testing equipment (routers) and their firmware • Finding and describing bugs and ways to reproduce them • Creating scripts for test automation • Business correspondence describing bugs in English

• Experience with GNU/Linux OS • Knowledge of networking stack, understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP, HTTP(S), DNS protocols • Understanding of wired and wireless network technologies (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, DSL, xPON) • Ability to reproduce and isolate network bugs: collect traffic dumps (PCAP), device logs, correlate events on different nodes • Ability to work with Git version control • Understanding of the defect lifecycle: from reproduction to writing a bug report with steps, expected/actual result, environment (software version, topology, config) Nice to have: • Experience with OpenWrt or Buildroot • Experience with testing frameworks: pytest, unittest, FitNesse, playwright • Ability to parameterize tests, organize fixtures, prepare test reports • Proven experience in automated testing of network equipment (1-2 years for Middle) • Experience setting up pipelines for automatic regression test runs with report delivery to messenger or email
