We are a technology startup developing an anomaly detection system to protect online services from fraud by identifying VPN/proxy usage. This role is within our R&D department, offering a research-oriented environment similar to a cybersecurity lab. We are looking for individuals who are tired of repetitive feature development and want to apply their engineering passion. We particularly welcome candidates from InfoSec/Networking backgrounds who are proficient in Python, such as network engineers, pentesters, SOC analysts, and reverse engineers.

Background in InfoSec/Networking (relevant education or proven experience: cybersecurity/network administration, CTF, pet projects, open-source). Python experience of at least 1 year of commercial experience (clean, scalable code, convenient REST API). Networking knowledge below the level of requests/aiohttp (TCP handshake, TLS ClientHello, DNS). Practical experience with tcpdump and Wireshark. Proficient Linux user (console, understanding of the kernel's network stack). Ability to read others' code (legacy code and research scripts are not intimidating). Soft skills (critically important for us): Autonomy and proactivity (tasks should not need to be 'pulled' from you). Readiness to delve deep (our product's logic cannot be Googled; it must be derived from data). You will not be alone: research engineers are nearby, hypotheses are discussed together, and asking questions is not shameful. The main thing is not to wait for a ticket with step-by-step instructions, but to go and figure it out.

Remote, full-time. 100-200K RUB net (payments in USDT are possible). Willing to consider higher for experienced candidates. Minimal bureaucracy, maximum engineering freedom. Development in CyberSec. Location: Russian Federation or Republic of Belarus.
