Principal Security Engineer (Solana)

OpenZeppelin is hiring a Principal Security Engineer (Solana) for remote secure development, leading Solana security workstreams and production programs.

Department: Secure Development Key Responsibilities: - Lead Solana workstreams end-to-end from architecture through deployment - Build production-grade programs where security is the primary constraint - Own hard design questions for an emerging ecosystem - Run independent client-facing roadmap discussions - Elevate team standards through code review and mentorship - Represent OpenZeppelin in the Solana ecosystem - Use AI as a core daily tool for security work - Collaborate on cross-team research and threat analysis

3+ years building production Solana programs Demonstrated ability leading multi-quarter technical workstreams Deep SVM fluency including account model, PDAs, and compute budgeting Contributions to Solana standards (SIDs, SPL) Experience working alongside foundation or protocol teams Proficiency with Anchor and low-level runtime programming Security-first mindset with auditing/hardening experience AI-native workflow using Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent Strong English communication skills
