Payroll Specialist
Plata is looking for a Middle+, Senior Payroll Specialist to work in their Limassol office. Responsibilities include payroll, tax, and contributions calculation, and interaction with stakeholders and providers.
Calculating payroll for employees in Cyprus using a specialized payroll system. Calculating payroll taxes and social contributions (3de pocket). Preparing and submitting payroll and tax declarations. Answering employee questions regarding salary, taxes, deductions, and payments, explaining complex cases in simple terms. Interacting with internal stakeholders: People Partner / Recruiter. Managing processes with providers: organizing and controlling the process of assisting employees with personal tax return filings (the service is provided by a third party, the specialist's role is process management, deadline, and quality control). Overseeing payroll calculations by a provider in 1-2 additional locations subordinate to Cyprus.
5 years of total payroll calculation experience / with at least 1-2 years in Cyprus. Practical experience in calculating taxes and social contributions in Cyprus. Experience with payroll systems. Ability to handle a large number of employees and requests. Skill in clearly and understandably explaining complex payroll calculations to employees. Ability to find solutions in non-standard situations. English - intermediate (B1-B2): for work communication. Greek - not required, but a plus for interaction with tax authorities and funds.
