Network Engineer with QA experience (manual testing)

Network Engineer with QA experience at Systems and Algorithms. Salary 165,000–190,000 RUB/month gross. Remote within Russia. Testing hardware-software complex and Continent platform.

Project: You will test software before new versions are delivered to customers and be among the first to encounter possible errors in the hardware-software complex. Tasks include localization and analysis of errors, close interaction with developers and product analysts, and applying network and software testing knowledge. Responsibilities: - Set up and maintain a test environment for integration, functional, and customer network/service simulation testing based on Continent platforms and virtual devices. - Test Continent (integration, functional, GUI) according to requirements and test cases. - Test compatibility and integration of Continent-based solutions with equipment. - Document testing results: log bugs in the bug tracking system, prepare test reports. - Maintain test documentation (create checklists, test cases, test plans).

Mandatory: - Practical experience with network technologies. - Knowledge of principles of building data transmission networks, main routing protocols, TCP/IP stack. - Practical experience with network equipment (L2/L3 switches, routers, firewalls from various vendors). - Knowledge of protocols and technologies: VLAN, STP, RSTP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, Port security. - Ability to deploy a "router-on-the-stick" scheme from scratch. - Ability and practical experience in diagnosing network errors. - Ability to install Windows and Linux OS families. Nice to have: - Experience working in the command line and administering Unix-like operating systems (network setup, file system operations, package installation, etc.). - Experience deploying various services under Linux (DNS, DHCP, web, database, NAS). - Basic knowledge: VRF, BGP, OSPF, RIP, QoS, LACP, IPSEC, 802.1X, NTP, SMTP, POP3, etc. - Experience with traffic analyzers (tcpdump, Wireshark).

Salary: 165,000–190,000 RUB per month (gross). Work format: remote within Russia. Location: Russia.
