Kinopoisk is looking for an ML Developer to join their recommendations team. The role involves developing ML algorithms for content personalization, hypothesis testing, and production code development in Java. Hybrid work model in Moscow or St. Petersburg.

Kinopoisk is one of the largest online cinemas in Russia. Our recommendations team creates ML algorithms for selecting content that truly interests users. What tasks await you: • Proposing hypotheses and conducting A/B experiments Propose new hypotheses and test them – to delight viewers with ML models and product logic, helping them find the most interesting series and films on Kinopoisk. • Development and advancement of ML technologies Collect and prepare data, select ML approaches to solve product tasks, formulate quality metrics to evaluate models offline and during A/B tests. • Writing production code Write reliable and efficient production code in Java during the implementation phase. Our services are quite mature – this allows for the implementation of complex scenarios.

We expect you to: • Understand the principles of classical and deep ML • Have prepared and processed tabular data (using SQL-like approaches) • Know the basics of mathematical statistics • Be ready for the full cycle of ML solution implementation: from data processing to production deployment and support of a service with an ML model • Want to improve the product
