ML Developer for Detector Alignment Team (Autonomous Transport)
ML Developer for the Detector Alignment team at Yandex, focusing on autonomous transport. Responsibilities include developing and improving neural network models for object detection, segmentation, and multimodal data processing. Requires experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow and applied DL.
Our team is responsible for ensuring that autonomous vehicles correctly perceive their surroundings in all operating conditions: day and night, in rain, snow, and fog. We process data from cameras, lidars, and radars, create neural network algorithms, and bring them to production. What tasks await you: • Development and improvement of detection and segmentation models: Train and adapt models for detecting cars, pedestrians, and other dynamic objects, segmenting the road surface, and identifying important scene elements. • Model alignment and robustness in real-world conditions: Work on the generalization ability of models in various weather and lighting conditions, across different sensor configurations, and in new geographies. • Multimodal data processing: Integrate information from cameras, lidars, and radars, explore ways to effectively combine them. • Definition of permissible operating conditions: Develop algorithms to determine weather conditions, road state, and other factors affecting safe driving.
We expect you to: • Train neural network models, work with different approaches • Have experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and frameworks built on top of them • Be familiar with the world of applied DL • Read papers from ML conferences, follow the development of the field
