Junior QA
Junior QA / tester for Dream Quest, a text-based medieval life simulator for Android. Part-time, remote, symbolic monthly pay, about 4 h/week. Manual testing of builds, scenarios, bugs.
Dream Quest is a text-based medieval life simulator for Android. Players make decisions, build relationships with characters, and live their own story in a world where each choice can affect later events and the hero's fate. We are looking for a beginner QA who is interested in entering game development, gaining practical experience, and helping a real project grow. What you will do: - Receive new builds and check implemented changes. - Perform simple acceptance and regression tests. - Check game scenarios and critical paths. - Find bugs, visual issues, and text errors. - Notice illogical transitions, contradictions, and oddities in game behavior. - Create clear bug reports with screenshots and reproduction steps. - Re-check fixed issues. - Sometimes participate in discussions about mechanics and user experience.
Commercial testing experience is not required. Attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to clearly explain what happened and what result was expected are more important. Who we are looking for: - You are interested in games and their development process. - You like text, story-driven, or role-playing games. - You read texts carefully and notice inconsistencies. - You want to understand how the game works inside, not just play it. - You can consistently check the same scenarios. - You speak calmly and constructively about found issues. - You can devote on average about 4 hours per week, sometimes up to 8 hours. - You have an Android smartphone. - Previous QA or game development experience is welcome but not required.
- Symbolic monthly payment. - Remote work with a flexible schedule. - Practical experience testing a live Unity project. - Work with real builds, mechanics, and bug reports. - Opportunity to add the project to your resume and portfolio. - Feedback and help at the start. - Possibility to revise terms when funding appears and the project develops. Important: Dream Quest is currently developing as a small startup, so we cannot offer a full market salary. This position is primarily suitable for a beginner specialist who wants to gain first practical experience in game development. Work format: - Remotely. - Flexible schedule. - On average about 4 hours per week, in some weeks up to 8 hours. - We expect long-term cooperation if we are comfortable working together.
