Junior QA Engineer (Gamedev)

BarHat Games, mobile game developer, is seeking a Junior QA Engineer for remote work, with salary 40,000-60,000 RUB per month.

BarHat Games – a mobile game development team since 2013, with 12 successful releases and hundreds of thousands of players. We are expanding the team and looking for a careful novice tester. Important: projects may have NSFW theme; we are looking for a candidate who is psychologically comfortable with such content. Responsibilities: • Conduct functional, regression and smoke testing; • Test balance, monetization, various mechanics, layout and game logic; • Localize, reproduce and write bug reports in Jira; • Create and update test documentation (checklists, test cases); • Collect and prepare test builds from different repository branches; • Reproduce and verify bugs reported by players; • Closely interact with other departments for prompt problem solving.

• Testing experience in games or applications (Android/iOS/WebGL/Steam) from 6 months (including internships); • Understanding of iOS, Android and WebGL platform specifics; • Ability to capture and analyze logs via Android Logcat (or similar); • Basic Git skills (clone, branch switching); • Basic understanding of Jira; • Broad gaming background and understanding of mobile game development trends; • Ability to express thoughts clearly and structured (verbal and written); • Attention to detail, perseverance, and desire to grow in QA. Will be a plus: • Experience with Unity; • Basic understanding of programming principles and reading code in any language (C#, JavaScript, Python in priority); • Knowledge of client-server interaction basics.
