Develop high-load backends for user-generated content (reviews, questions, videos) at Market. Focus on backend development, algorithms, and data structures. Kotlin experience is a plus, PostgreSQL knowledge is important.

We develop high-load backends related to user content: reviews, questions, videos, and other objects. Our work helps choose products based on honest ratings and share experiences with each other. What tasks await you: • Creating product features This could be anything from a light redesign of a page with A/B testing to creating a new product in the UGC stream. You will have a lot of communication with the product manager on the vision of the solution, as well as with client developers on working out the API. As a bonus, you can influence the product, as you communicate directly with the decision-maker. • Designing solutions We design features independently. Of course, senior colleagues will review and may help make complex decisions. This is important because it helps to delve deeper into the technical details under the hood, and fewer errors are made during implementation. • Tech quota Yandex is constantly creating new, more optimal tools to utilize hardware more efficiently or gain various advantages. Part of the team's time is spent on their implementation. This could be a transition to another service deployment system, updating Spring, introducing a new load balancing scheme, and much more.

We expect you to: • Be immersed in backend development, confident in your knowledge of algorithms and data structures • Be ready to write in Kotlin (we are gradually transitioning to it, we will teach you) • Have worked with databases, PostgreSQL experience will be most relevant • Be ready for DevOps elements (setting up release pipelines, scaling services)
