Arenadata is looking for a Senior Java developer to work on Arenadata Hyperwave, Arenadata Streaming, and Arenadata Platform Security products. Requires 3+ years of experience with Java, Spark, Kafka, and Linux.

Conduct R&D research and prepare PoC solutions for the development of Arenadata products: Arenadata Hyperwave, Arenadata Streaming, Arenadata Platform Security; interact with TPMs and architects to define the strategy and action plan for developing a unified data platform; participate in the development and evolution of the Arenadata Hyperwave product core; identify and resolve failures, bottlenecks, and performance issues in distributed systems; write unit tests, and integration tests if necessary; conduct and participate in code reviews; maintain and update development documentation interact with the DevOps team on building, deploying, and operating solutions.

Commercial Java development experience of 3+ years; ability to decompose tasks; deep experience with distributed computing and Apache Spark, understanding its internal architecture; good understanding of Apache Kafka: architecture, data stream processing model, performance and reliability issues; knowledge of security mechanisms for distributed data processing systems; ability to read open-source code and make changes to it; confident debugging, log analysis, and problem diagnostics; understanding of modern approaches to building high-load and parallel systems; good knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, basic algorithms and data structures; experience with Maven; understanding of DevOps principles and practical application of CI/CD approaches; industrial experience with Linux and the command line.

Will be a plus: experience with various DBMS (3+ years); practical experience operating Hadoop / Kafka / Spark in production; experience in finding and eliminating performance bottlenecks with subsequent argumentation and implementation of improvements.
