Java Developer

HireWay is hiring a Java Developer (middle) for remote work, salary 265,000–280,000 RUB/month, full-time, contract with self-employed.

Develop new functionality under the guidance of experienced developers. Support and improve existing Java backend services. Fix bugs and improve code quality. Work with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API. Write and maintain unit and integration tests. Participate in code reviews and team discussions. Understand existing code and gradually take on more independent tasks. Work with SQL and relational databases. Participate in CI/CD processes. Collaborate with developers, QA, analysts, and other team members. Learn new technologies and apply them in work tasks. Gradually participate in designing technical solutions.

Knowledge of Java and understanding of OOP principles. Understanding of core Java constructs: collections, exceptions, generics, basic multithreading. Basic understanding of Spring/Spring Boot. Understanding of REST API principles. Knowledge of SQL and basic understanding of relational databases. Experience with Git. Familiarity with Maven or Gradle. Understanding of unit testing principles. Nice to have: experience with JUnit and Mockito. Willingness to understand existing code and learn new technologies. Ability to work in a team and accept feedback. Plus: Spring Boot development experience, Docker familiarity, basic CI/CD understanding, Linux experience, Kubernetes familiarity, pet-project development, participation in educational or team IT projects, Kotlin knowledge, Spring Cloud familiarity, Jira and Confluence experience, understanding of microservice architecture.

Salary: 265,000–280,000 RUB per month (before taxes). Full-time employment. Contract with self-employed or individual. Schedule: 5/2. Remote work.
