Java Backend Developer (Senior)

Senior Java Backend Developer for outstaff, remote, salary 200,000-250,000 RUB. Develop and maintain backend services, write unit tests, mentor team.

Responsibilities: - Develop and refine backend services according to specifications from analysts and functional consultants. - Write unit tests (mandatory requirement). - Break down complex tasks and estimate effort. - Resolve incidents escalated to third-line support. - Optimize software solutions and improve system performance. - Ensure code quality and conduct code reviews. - Mentor and develop team members. - Propose improvements for the technical part of the project. - Respond promptly to issues in area of responsibility and propose solutions for system recovery. - Report on activities to the manager.

Requirements: - Solid knowledge of Java 11/17: JMM, concurrency, JVM profiling. - Strong SQL skills, experience with complex queries, optimization, and PL/SQL procedures; PostgreSQL / Oracle. - Experience with JPA/Hibernate, JDBC. - Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot. - Experience with build tools Maven/Gradle. - Proficiency in unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) – mandatory. - Designing integrations: REST API, XML/JSON formats, message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ); experience with complex integration solutions. - Performance optimization: profiling, bottleneck identification. - Experience with log analysis, distributed tracing, monitoring and alerting configuration. - Git skills. - CI/CD pipeline setup: GitLab CI, GitLab Runner. - Designing microservices solutions. - Solid Docker knowledge (including docker-compose); Kubernetes is a plus. - Experience with Scrum/Kanban. - Linux shell scripting. - Mentoring skills. - Ability to collaborate with consultants and developers. - Systematic approach to problem-solving. - Leadership qualities, result-oriented, team development, continuous learning.

Employment: full-time. Salary: 200,000 – 250,000 RUB per month. Work format: remote possible.
