Head of Data Science

Head of Data Science at NIT JSC (Astana, on-site, full-time). Salary 900,000–1,500,000 KZT per month. Lead DS/ML direction, manage team, build and deploy ML models.

JSC NIT is the operator of information and communication infrastructure of the e-government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Formation and development of the Data Science / ML direction. Technical leadership of the DS team. Work with the full cycle of ML model development: from data research to deployment and monitoring. Participation in architectural decisions. Work with a modern Data Science, ML, and Data Engineering stack. Responsibilities: — Form and develop the Data Science / ML direction — Set tasks and provide technical leadership to the DS team — Develop forecasting models — Develop classification models — Develop clustering models — Develop risk detection models — Deploy ML models to production — Participate in architectural decisions — Control the full ML cycle: from data research to deployment and monitoring

Experience as Data Scientist / ML Engineer from 3 years Deep understanding of statistics Deep understanding of Machine Learning and principles of model building Confident Python Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch Experience in technical leadership or mentoring Understanding of the full ML cycle Experience in data research and preparation Understanding of principles of ML model deployment and monitoring Nice to have: — Experience with ClickHouse — Experience with PostgreSQL — Experience with MinIO — Experience with BI tools Superset, Lightdash, Metabase — Experience with dbt — Experience with Airflow — Experience with Spark — Experience with DataHub — Experience with MLflow — Experience in building and developing Data Science / ML teams
