Data Scientist in Antifraud Discovery, Alfa-Bank

Middle/Senior Data Scientist for Alfa-Bank's antifraud research team. Hybrid/remote, 300-500k gross + quarterly bonuses. Focus on ML models for fraud detection.

Join the Discovery team, the research direction of Alfa-Bank's antifraud platform. Our real-time models help protect financial operations from fraud and compliance risks. In this role, you will explore new approaches to fraud detection: work with large volumes of transactional data, formulate and quickly test ML hypotheses, build prototypes, and determine which solutions have potential for implementation. Responsibilities: • Dive into the business context of antifraud and compliance, study processes, data, and current models • Find growth points and propose new ML approaches • Work with business stakeholders and turn their requests into clearly defined ML tasks • Develop prototypes, conduct experiments, and evaluate their impact • Justify results and recommend ideas for further development

What is important: • Completed higher technical education • Experience in Data Science, confident Python and SQL • Tabular data, classical ML, statistics, and A/B testing • Ability to clearly explain technical solutions to business • Interest in research work and independent idea seeking Will be a plus: experience in antifraud; PySpark; graphs, time series, neural networks, transformers, and LLM; experience with real-time ML
