Head of AI

Head of AI at Excdev. Remote from anywhere except Russia. Manage a distributed team of ML engineers, set tasks, review code/architecture, define AI/ML technical strategy, and lead projects from research to deployment.

Manage a distributed team of ML engineers. Set tasks, distribute roles, and control execution according to deadlines. Conduct code and architecture reviews, ensuring high quality of solutions. Develop and implement coding standards and testing methodologies. Lead projects from idea to implementation, including research, architecture, development, deployment, and monitoring. Collaborate with business analysts and clients to understand business goals and translate them into technical solutions. Define technical strategy and project architecture based on modern AI/ML technologies. Research new technologies and tools to improve development processes and team efficiency.

Experience: 5+ years in AI/ML, including at least 3 years as a team lead. Education: higher technical degree (computer science, AI, applied mathematics, cybersecurity). Level: senior/lead ML engineer plus management experience (Tech Lead / AI Team Lead). English: B2–C1 or higher (technical and business correspondence, reading scientific articles). Ability to lead projects from idea to implementation, including research, architecture, development, deployment, and monitoring. Management competencies: - Managing a distributed team. - Setting tasks, quality control, code reviews, architectural decisions. - Interaction with business, analysts, and clients; ability to translate business tasks into technical solutions. - Mentoring and team development.

Remote work from anywhere in the world (outside Russia). Schedule: 10:00–19:00 MSK. Competitive salary. Payments twice a month. Vacation: 28 calendar days.
