DevOps Engineer role at Triple Lemniscate Research, focusing on low-latency, high-throughput HFT systems. Remote position with a salary of $3500-$4500 net. Responsibilities include network infrastructure, VPN optimization, Kubernetes, Kafka, monitoring, and CI/CD.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join our team, developing and supporting the infrastructure of high-frequency trading systems (HFT) with a focus on low-latency, reliability, and high throughput. This role is at the intersection of DevOps and infrastructure: development and support of the production environment, automation, service operation, and work with cloud and hybrid infrastructure. What you will do: • Design, develop, and maintain low-latency network infrastructure in the cloud and on-premise data centers; • Optimize communication channels and hybrid connection schemes (VPN, AWS Direct Connect, AWS PrivateLink) with a focus on stability and low latency; • Support Kubernetes clusters and infrastructure services; • Fine-tune and optimize Kafka (latency, throughput, fault tolerance); • Set up monitoring, dashboards, and alerting in Grafana / VictoriaMetrics, control the correctness of data input; • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Gitlab CI); • Participate in performance tuning of Linux, network stacks, and services for HFT requirements.

What we expect: • Solid practical knowledge of Kubernetes; • Experience in infrastructure automation using Ansible and understanding of IaC principles; • Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Hetzner, on-prem); • Confident Linux administration and understanding of system and network stack performance tuning principles. • Experience in designing and implementing complex and non-standard VPN architectures (site-to-site, mesh topologies, hybrid schemes between clouds and on-premise infrastructure), including optimization of routing and fault tolerance. • Understanding of monitoring and alerting for high-load systems (VictoriaMetrics, Grafana); • Experience working with Kafka in a high-throughput / low-latency environment.
