Data Science Team Lead
Data Science Team Lead at Ostrovok. Company is looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience as a DS and 1+ year as a Team Lead. The role involves managing a DS team, planning tasks, and collaborating with stakeholders. Remote or office work is possible.
The role involves team leadership, including maintaining employee motivation, their development, and organizing their activities. It also includes organizing the effective work of the DS team: planning tasks, setting goals, monitoring execution, and performance reviews. Additionally, it requires organizing effective communication with stakeholders and the product team, quarterly and operational work planning, participation in code reviews, grooming, and maintaining code quality standards and best practices. Moderation of Scrum rituals (daily, grooming, planning, retrospective) is also part of the responsibilities.
Experience as a linear DS for at least 3 years. Experience as a Team Lead of a DS team of 4+ people for at least 1 year. Experience in team management (prioritization, hiring, growth, etc.). Ability to work with business metrics (model, product, and financial) and influence them. Presence of specific effects in the resume brought by your team. Experience with LLM, uplift, time series, etc. Skills in organizing the effective work of a DS team, mentoring, and supporting specialist development. Experience in managing DS/ML solution implementation projects, adhering to deadlines and task quality. Ability to clearly and concisely explain complex technical solutions to colleagues and stakeholders. Ability to find and implement effective solutions for complex DS/ML tasks in practice. English at the documentation reading level.
