1. Experience • 4–6+ years of experience in QA for DWH and BI. • Responsible for the overall data quality for a direction or domain. • Develops testing strategy and mentors colleagues. • Consults analysts on data quality and modeling. • Influences acceptance processes and QA standards within the team. 2. General QA Competencies • Optimizes and automates test processes. • Develops unified approaches to test design for data projects. • Uses autotests wherever possible. 3. Working with SQL and Data • Uses SQL as the primary tool for data analysis, optimizes queries and pipelines, designs test SQL sets for comprehensive validation and regression testing. 4. Specifics of Data Warehousing and ETL Testing • Designs approaches to testing ETL and integrations, implements automatic checks (data quality, completeness, consistency). 5. Working with BI • Validates the end-to-end data path (source → DWH → BI). 6. Domain Understanding • Deeply understands the subject area, proposes improvements for Data Quality and Data Governance. • Designs a data quality control system, metrics, and reports on them.
