3D Animator for a Story-Driven Shooter Team
We are looking for a 3D Animator to join our team for a story-driven shooter. An independent studio of 9 people is seeking a specialist to work on characters, parkour, environmental interactions, and weapons in Unreal Engine 5. Remote work is possible.
A small, fully private, independent studio of 9 people is developing a story-driven, dynamic shooter with a focus on intense action, cinematic cutscenes, and a solid narrative. The art style is realism with noir undertones. Character animation: combat, movement, parkour, interaction with the environment and weapons. First-person and third-person animations. (Desirable!) - Integration of all this into Unreal Engine 5.7.4: setting up AnimBPs, state machines, montages, retargeting, working with Control Rig and Sequencer. Collaboration with game designers, programmers, and artists.
Proficient in Maya or Blender (whichever is more convenient - it doesn't matter, the result is key) - Working with skeletons, skinning, and rigging. Experience with mocap data is desirable: cleaning, retargeting, manual refinement. (Or at least a desire to learn this) Experience with UE5: AnimBP, Blendspace, Montages, IK, Control Rig, Sequencer. Understanding how animation fits into gameplay, what root motion is. Will be a plus: experience with physics simulations (cloth, hair), knowledge of Motion Matching. The main requirement: A desire to work hard and a genuine interest in the project. We want someone who comes to make a game, not just serve time as if in hard labor. Even if you are a top professional but don't care about what's happening, you won't last long here. If you are a solid middle-level specialist, or even a junior who is passionate about the project and drives it forward - we will find common ground. Being part of a team is not about a corporate family and Friday gatherings (although we have those too). It's about investing in the overall result, meeting your deadlines, speaking up if something is wrong, and respecting the work of others.
Full-time is preferred. Employment options are negotiable - official employment under the Labor Code is possible after the probationary period. Work format - remote. If you are from St. Petersburg and want to come to the office, there are no problems, you can also come to the office.
