We are building a mental health clinic in the USA: licensed doctors + proprietary AI tools that take away routine (charting, follow-ups, treatment plans) so doctors can focus on patients, not paperwork. We are looking for a Staff DevOps engineer who independently decides where to take the infrastructure. Responsibilities: - Vision and quarterly infrastructure roadmap, proactively, with trade-offs and metrics - AWS + Kubernetes (EKS): Karpenter, Kyverno, zero-downtime - IaC end-to-end: Terraform, AWS CDK (TypeScript) + GitLab CI (self-managed) - Observability that is actually used: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry - Blue-green deployments, health-gated rollback, zero-downtime PostgreSQL migrations - Security in a HIPAA environment: secrets, Vault as code - Agentic AI (Claude Code and similar) as part of daily work, not just for show Stack: AWS · EKS · Terraform · AWS CDK (TypeScript) · GitLab CI · Prometheus / Grafana / OTel · Vault · PostgreSQL · Node.js / TypeScript
