Senior PostgreSQL Engineer / Database Reliability Engineer / Data Engineer

Senior PostgreSQL DBA/DRE for a high-load AdTech platform, hybrid in Minsk, $5,000–8,000 gross, growth into Data Engineering.

We create advanced technologies for automating the global recruitment market (AdTech). Our platform is a high-load ecosystem handling hundreds of millions of dollars in ad budgets. The core of our product is 5–6 PostgreSQL clusters with tens of terabytes (largest DB up to 30 TB) in AWS cloud. Responsibilities: - Full control over PostgreSQL state, profiling, and optimization for AWS server configurations - Setup and maintenance of replication, Patroni, PgBouncer, backup, and disaster recovery - Proactive monitoring: slow query analysis (pg_stat_statements, execution plans), index optimization, proactive developer support - Participation in building ETL pipelines and working with related data stack (up to 60% of tasks in the future) - Writing scripts for metrics collection, diagnostics, and maintenance (Python/Bash)

5+ years as an expert PostgreSQL DBA in high-load production environments - Understanding of PostgreSQL internals: processes, memory, WAL, locks, fine-tuning autovacuum for high load - Practical experience with fault-tolerant setups (Patroni, PgBouncer, streaming replication) - Experience with PostgreSQL in cloud infrastructure (AWS EC2/RDS) - Desire to grow in Data Engineering (ETL, pipeline tools) - English B2/Upper-Intermediate for verbal communication Nice to have: - Experience with Data Engineering tools (Airflow, Python pipelines) - C programming skills - Experience with migrations and major upgrades of large databases
