Senior DevOps Engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer at iGaming in Cyprus (Limassol office) to build and support high-load fault-tolerant systems using CI/CD, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, and databases.

Project: iGaming platform for live games; the team is being assembled on-site in Cyprus. Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD. - Deploy, administer, and scale applications in Kubernetes (K8s). - Manage access and deploy Jira and Confluence. - Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, EKS, etc.). - Manage DNS. - Administer Linux and understand operating systems deeply. - Set up, monitor, and ensure fault tolerance of Kafka and NATS clusters. - Manage and support database clusters (PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse), including replication, backup, and recovery. - Implement and support monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). - Implement and design PKI and SSH access management infrastructure. - Ensure infrastructure and application security. - Mentor and share knowledge with junior team members. - Troubleshoot and optimize system performance.

5+ years as a DevOps Engineer. Expert Kubernetes knowledge: deployment, management, scaling, troubleshooting clusters; understanding K8s architecture. Deep Linux knowledge: administration, networking, file systems. GitLab CI/CD experience: building and supporting complex pipelines, integration with various tools. Hands-on Apache Kafka experience: installation, configuration, monitoring, performance optimization, and ensuring cluster fault tolerance. Confident AWS experience: designing and managing infrastructure; knowledge of key services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, EKS). Database cluster administration experience: replication, backup, recovery, performance monitoring. Ansible configuration management and Terraform Infrastructure as Code. Access provisioning via SSH and PKI. Monitoring and logging systems experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Zabbix). Understanding of network security principles and best practices. Nice to have: - AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional). - Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD). - Experience with other cloud providers (Azure, GCP). - Knowledge of other message brokers (RabbitMQ, Redis Streams). - Experience with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd).
