We are a technological HFT fund operating in international financial markets. We develop and operate high-performance trading systems where speed, stability, and infrastructure reliability are critical. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the DevOps direction. This role has a high degree of responsibility and autonomy: you will be responsible for infrastructure, operations, and release processes of critical trading systems, set engineering standards, and determine further development of the direction. We need an engineer who does not just close individual tasks, but can take the direction under control, build and improve processes, and be responsible for production reliability as a whole. What you will do: - Build and maintain CI/CD: set up stable and fast build and deployment pipelines, automate releases for different team stacks, ensure safe deployments with minimal downtime. - Manage production infrastructure (cloud + on-premise): set up and maintain production servers, environments, updates, and configurations. Maintain a transparent code delivery process and clear system state for all teams. - Improve production reliability: work with systemd, networks, and configurations, participate in incident analysis, prevent recurrence, and implement operational improvements. - Work closely with trading and infrastructure teams: jointly design solutions, implement system improvements and updates, participate in incident analysis.
Technical stack: - Deep knowledge of Unix/Linux and system administration experience — infrastructure and operations aspects. - Confident Python skills. - AWS API — deep knowledge and practical experience. - GitLab CI/CD — pipeline setup and support. - Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki/ELK — setup, collection, integration, and debugging of metrics, alerts, and dashboards. - IaC: Ansible/Terraform. - ClickHouse. Experience and operational approach: - Experience independently bringing projects to production and supporting them: CI/CD, tests, monitoring, alerts. - Understanding of reliable production system principles: SLA, uptime, fault tolerance, incident response, safe deployments. - Readiness to lead infrastructure tasks from problem diagnosis to resolution in production. - Ability to balance performance and simplicity and make engineering decisions focused on maintainability, extensibility, and debuggability. - Autonomy and readiness to take responsibility for critical systems. - Ability to prioritize and switch between multiple projects. Nice to have: - Experience in areas with high reliability and performance requirements: finance, HFT, and other high-load/low-latency systems. - Experience with high-performance or distributed data storage systems. - Understanding of high-bandwidth networks. - Experience with low-latency WAN: microwave/RF links, dedicated channels between sites. - Experience with FPGA infrastructure. - Experience with AMD Solarflare Ethernet Adapters. - Higher technical education (MIPT, MSU, Bauman MSTU, HSE).
Conditions: - Salary: in dollars or rubles + transparent bonus system. - Voluntary medical insurance (VMI). - Format: modern office in Moscow; hybrid or remote work format can be discussed. - Flexible start of the working day. - Equipment provided.
