Brightman agency is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for complex, science-intensive projects. Relocation required, with compensation above market rate. Full relocation package and travel compensation provided.

Responsibilities: – Lead the design, development, and support of complex ETL/ELT pipelines; – Establish and enforce data quality standards, monitoring, and validation practices; – Integrate and process structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets from various systems; – Provide clean and well-structured datasets to analytics, ML/AI, and operations teams to support strategic decisions; – Actively participate in architectural discussions, propose improvements, and define best practices for the data platform; – Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, assisting with technical development and problem-solving; – Support reproducible workflows, maintain detailed documentation, and contribute to process automation.

Requirements: – 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering; – Experience with data from radar systems, sonar systems, sensors, images, video, satellite data, drones (UAV); – Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering; – Advanced SQL knowledge and programming skills (Python, SQL; PostgreSQL or similar); – Deep understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration concepts (Airflow, Prefect, or similar); – Solid knowledge of batch and stream processing principles (Spark, Kafka, or similar frameworks); – Extensive experience with large-scale data platforms (cloud or on-premise); – In-depth understanding of scalable data storage, data warehousing, and big data concepts; – Familiarity with containerization, deployment practices, and CI/CD pipelines; – Proficient in version control systems and collaborative development processes (e.g., Git); - Experience in scientific research, publications, and conferences; - English level – Intermediate and above.

Format: office Relocation: full package + compensation for trips home several times a half-year. Salary: one of the highest on the market for Senior level.
