Senior Backend Engineer with Node.js/Go experience for Native Commerce. Hybrid role in Barcelona/Lisbon. Full-time/Contractor. Salary $4000-6500 paid in GBP.

We build mission-critical software for modern e-commerce: storefronts, WMS, OMS, logistics, real-time BI - all in one modular platform. What you'll do: build backend services (Node.js / Go) design APIs (GraphQL / REST) work with DB (Postgres / Mongo) own integrations & transactional flows improve performance & reliability use AI in daily development

You can come from Node.js or Go - no need for both (but important to be ready to expand). Stack: microservices, Node.js (TS), GraphQL / REST, PostgreSQL / MongoDB AI tools: Copilot, Claude, Cursor Who we are looking for: We are NOT looking for just a coder. We are looking for an engineer who solves problems. Key requirements: • Strong independence (core) - makes decisions - works without detailed specs - comfortable with ambiguity • Troubleshooting mindset - debugs complex systems - fixes issues end-to-end • Broad engineering mindset - product / testing / devops awareness • AI-first approach (must-have) - daily use (Copilot / Claude / Cursor) - real integration into workflow • Senior level - architecture, ownership, responsibility - potential tech/team lead Nice to have: • e-commerce / marketplaces / high-load • carts / checkout / OMS / WMS / delivery
