Senior Backend Engineer for a wealth management platform transformation into a white-label solution. Focus on complex financial workflows (KYC/AML, transactions) and building robust APIs. Location: Cyprus, Limassol. Salary: 6-7K net.

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and standardize a sophisticated wealth management platform that we're transforming into a white-label solution for multiple financial entities. You'll work on complex financial workflows (KYC/AML, account management, transactions) while building robust APIs and services that will serve as the foundation for a multi-tenant SaaS platform. THE PLATFORM Wealth management solution handling client onboarding, KYC/AML compliance, investment accounts, agent/broker management, transaction processing, and regulatory compliance. We're building back-office admin tools and client self-service portals. TECH STACK Backend: Java Spring Boot REST APIs PostgreSQL database with complex queries and transactions Keycloak authentication (OAuth2/JWT) Maven for dependency management Docker for containerization Frontend (just for context): Next.js (App Router, Server Components) React with TypeScript Refine.dev enterprise admin framework Ant Design UI library WHAT YOU'LL DO Design and implement REST APIs for financial workflows Build complex business logic for KYC/AML, transactions, and compliance Architect backend for white-label multi-tenancy Implement robust data models and database schema design Ensure data integrity, security, and audit trails Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control Optimize database performance and query efficiency Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, API tests) Reduce technical debt and improve code quality

5+ years backend development with Java and Spring Boot Strong understanding of Spring ecosystem (Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Spring Web) REST API design and implementation best practices PostgreSQL (transactions, indexes, optimization) Authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC) Experience with financial or regulated systems Git, Docker, and CI/CD basics HIGHLY VALUED Keycloak integration and customization Experience with multi-tenant architectures and data isolation Financial services or fintech experience Deep understanding of KYC/AML compliance requirements Experience with regulatory reporting and audit trails Event-driven architecture and message queues Database migration tools (Flyway, Liquibase) Performance optimization and scalability patterns Experience with microservices architecture
