Senior Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience in distributed systems and Python (FastAPI) for a PropTech company. Build production-ready backend architecture, design data pipelines, and develop scalable services. 100% remote, no geographical restrictions.

We are an international technology company building an infrastructure platform for analyzing and processing large-scale property and entity data on a global scale. Our product is a data layer used by institutional clients to establish relationships between entities, analyze ownership structures, and identify risks across complex real-world networks. We are currently in a phase of rapid growth and are forming a core engineering team to bring the product to a production level for Tier 1 clients. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in building distributed systems. We need a specialist who has already developed and launched high-load, enterprise-grade systems in production. Tech Stack & Focus: • Backend: Python (FastAPI), strong knowledge of asynchronous programming • Architecture: distributed systems, event-driven architecture (EDA) • Data streaming: Kafka (topology design, delivery guarantees) • Infrastructure: building data pipelines for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data In the first 3 months, you will: • Build a production-ready backend architecture • Design and launch data ingestion pipelines from heterogeneous sources • Develop scalable backend services and APIs • Ensure observability, logging, and system auditability • Deliver working endpoints/services demonstrating stable performance under load

• Proven 5+ years of experience: you have launched production systems used by businesses or large organizations • Deep understanding of distributed systems and their behavior under load • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar streaming systems • Backend development experience in Python (FastAPI or similar frameworks) • Strong system design skills (performance, fault tolerance, scalability) • Willingness to provide proof of experience: GitHub / production cases / architectural decisions Language: Fluent English (team working language) Candidates are considered only with confirmed 5+ years of experience in development and operation of production systems used in business environments or large organizations.
