Senior AI Engineer at GetMeGit in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Salary up to $4500 + living expenses. Hybrid during probation, then remote possible. Develops AI products in a regulated environment.

The team is developing an AI assistant for a web platform in hydrology and geospatial analytics. The assistant understands user context, assists with map scenarios, validates datasets, and supports model calibration processes through LLM interaction. The role is at the intersection of backend, frontend integration, and applied AI. You will work with product, frontend, and backend teams, designing robust LLM functions for production. Responsibilities: Design and implement MCP tools or similar interfaces for calling FastAPI backend endpoints from LLM Pass context from frontend to LLM (region, zoom, map layers, filters, workflow) Develop AI scenarios for model calibration: CSV validation, metadata analysis, parameter recommendations Generate strictly structured JSON responses for the frontend (cards, validations, answers) Implement real-time interaction via WebSocket and/or SSE Collaborate with frontend and backend teams on API contracts and integrations Process user data: validation, schemas, fallback logic, edge cases Participate in testing, observability, and preparing AI scenarios for production

Solid Python experience in production Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio, REST API Experience with OpenAI API, Anthropic API, function/tool calling Experience designing JSON Schema and structured responses Understanding of JSON validation and strict control for frontend integration Basic experience with React and TypeScript Understanding of state management (Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or similar) Experience with WebSocket and/or SSE Experience processing CSV and tabular data, working with Pandas Knowledge of GeoJSON and understanding of map interface operations Skills in processing complex user inputs and edge cases English level B2 or higher Nice to have: Experience with Mapbox, MapLibre, Leaflet Experience with geospatial or data-heavy products Understanding of hydrology or related fields Experience with Pytest, integration and contract testing Experience with Docker, CI/CD Skills in logging, monitoring, and debugging AI systems Understanding of prompt/tool orchestration, validation layers, and secure LLM execution
