QA Engineer (Python + Backend)

Middle QA Engineer for Alfa-Bank, remote, full-time. Python backend testing, PostgreSQL/ClickHouse, React UI analysis.

Analyze business requirements and participate in planning improvements. Write and maintain automated tests in Python (pytest) for backend services. Check data quality and integrity of exports in PostgreSQL and ClickHouse (analytical queries, data reconciliation, migration validation). Analyze UI on React using DevTools (understanding component logic), but focus on backend. Work with defects: search, fix, control correction in production. Prepare synthetic data for testing data marts and complex cases. Regression testing.

Commercial testing experience from 3 years. Confident reading of someone else's code. Experience writing automated tests (pytest / unittest). Working with REST API, JSON, HTTP. Writing scripts for generating test data and automating routine. Proficiency in venv, poetry, pip. PostgreSQL: complex queries, JOINs, subqueries, window functions (ROW_NUMBER, LAG, LEAD), understanding transactions, query plan analysis (EXPLAIN). ClickHouse: understanding columnar architecture, ability to write analytical queries on large volumes (MergeTree, ReplacingMergeTree engines), working with clickhouse-client. Test design: confident application of equivalence classes, boundary values, pairwise testing. Tools: Git (branching, PR), Jira, Postman/Insomnia/curl, Jenkins (basic understanding of CI/CD). Documentation: ability to clearly formulate bug reports and write test cases. Will be a plus: knowledge of React basics (hooks, state, props) and ability to read JSX/TSX; experience with Docker / docker-compose; understanding of ETL processes and experience testing high-load systems; monitoring experience (Grafana, Prometheus).
