QA Automation Engineer (Java)

IBS is hiring a Middle QA Automation Engineer (Java) for remote work. Responsibilities include developing Java test automation tools and automating REST API testing.

Support and development of automated testing tools in Java Design and development of test scenarios and test data sets Coverage of new and existing functionality with automated tests Automation of REST API testing (priority over UI testing) Analysis of autotest results and subsequent creation of defects in the bug tracking system Preparation of testing documentation Active interaction with the team of developers and engineers

Experience with backend is key (95% backend on project) Good SQL level (above average) — confident query writing, work via JDBC Experience in manual functional testing (from 1 year) Automation of REST API testing (more than UI) Experience as an automation engineer from 1 year in Java (Java Core, OOP, collections, exceptions, file I/O) Knowledge of test design techniques (equivalence classes, boundary values, pairwise testing, etc.) Knowledge of web architecture (HTTP, client-server interaction, REST) Creating test reports using Allure Experience: from 2 years
