Middle Python Engineer

Middle Python Engineer for operational excellence, remote or hybrid, full-time, 3-6 years experience.

Core system: streaming event processing and real-time decision-making by algorithm. Algorithm and predictive models evolve with ML specialists; engineer responsible for how they are computed on the stream and fit within latency budget. Core streaming processing: services read event stream, maintain current state of objects, and compute decisions without database access. Decision per event: where to route object or reject with reason code. Processor architecture: count, key, state composition, delivery guarantees, partitions and replicas. Streaming mechanics: deadlines without timers, state recovery on restart and partition migration, replay, idempotent command issuance to external systems. Quality verification on real data on staging and rollout to production.

3+ years of Python experience. Technical education required. Understanding of fundamentals: OS, networks, distributed systems, stream processing. Kafka required. Knowledge of stream processing model. Ability to justify service boundaries. SQL: materialized views, window functions. Docker, Kubernetes at user level, GitLab CI. Ability to work independently. Actively use AI in development. Ready to complete test task and technical interview.
