Job Details

Middle ML Engineer at GDI in Astana. Salary estimate from 800,000 KZT. Hybrid work arrangement. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing ML models, working with object detection architectures, and integrating models into production systems.

• Development, training, and optimization of machine learning and computer vision models • Work with object detection architectures (YOLOv8 and similar) • Data preparation and cleaning, dataset augmentation • Model training using PyTorch and TensorFlow • Conducting experiments and hyperparameter tuning • Optimizing model performance (speed, size, accuracy) • Integrating models into backend / production systems (API, services) • Documenting solutions and participating in code reviews

• Solid knowledge of Python (OOP, asynchronous programming, package management) • ML experience of 2-3 years • Practical experience with PyTorch (mandatory) • TensorFlow (desirable / mandatory - depending on the project) • Experience with YOLOv8 or similar detection models • Understanding of computer vision • Knowledge of neural network fundamentals (CNN, transfer learning) • Understanding of quality metrics (precision, recall, mAP) • Experience with NumPy, Pandas, OpenCV, Scikit-learn Will be a plus: • Experience in model optimization (quantization, pruning, ONNX) • Deployment experience (Docker) • Working with REST API (FastAPI / Flask) • Experience with GPUs (CUDA) • Understanding of MLOps (CI/CD, model monitoring) • Experience with large datasets
