MIDDLE GAMEPLAY ENGINEER (VOID INTERACTIVE)
VOID Interactive is looking for a Middle Gameplay Engineer to develop and maintain gameplay and audio systems for their FPS title. Full-time remote position with competitive compensation.
VOID Interactive, the studio behind Ready or Not, is looking for a Gameplay Engineer to help develop and maintain gameplay and audio systems. You will work closely with designers, engineers, and QA to build stable, scalable systems that enable high-quality gameplay experiences in a modern FPS environment. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with gameplay and audio teams to develop systems and tools • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code • Support microservices development and deployment • Maintain build systems and infrastructure reliability • Implement configuration management solutions • Apply security best practices across pipelines • Debug and resolve infrastructure and pipeline issues • Document workflows and contribute to best practices
• 3+ years of experience in gameplay and audio systems development • Experience integrating Audiokinetic Wwise • Strong programming skills (C++ and/or other languages) • Understanding of multiplayer systems and client-server architecture • Experience with debugging, memory management, and multithreading • Broad knowledge of game systems (AI, physics, animation, etc.) • Strong communication skills • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Nice to Have: • Experience shipping a game with Unreal Engine • Knowledge of Python or other languages • Understanding of full development lifecycle • Experience with multi-platform development
